Air is pumped through the diffuser membranes on the bed of the waterbody breaking through the thermocline, reducing the effects of thermal stratification while also increasing the lake’s dissolved oxygen (DO) levels.
Developed and manufactured in the UK by Heathland Group, the SolarAir® system combines sustainability with engineering precision. Each system can operate between one and eight diffusers, moving over 10,000 litres of air per hour.
Strategically placed diffusers release streams of fine bubbles from the lake bed, breaking through the thermocline and evenly distributing oxygen throughout the entire water column—eliminating stratification and supporting aquatic health.

I have an OxiAir Shallow 900 pump with 5 diffuser plates and I love it. It's almost silent, it fizzes oxygen into my lake in a subtle but visible way and Heathland have been super helpful every time I have had a question. I can't recommend them enough and I know the pump will transform my lake, especially in the hot summer months (I am in Charente in France).
